Our Client company is one of Eastern Indias largest education groups, offering a wide range of academic programs through its colleges and institutions across West Bengal. The group focuses on academic excellence, innovation, and holistic student development.

Role Overview

The HR & Administration Manager will be responsible for overseeing HR operations and administrative functions. The role requires strong coordination, policy implementation, people management, and alignment with institutional goals.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Lead end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, PMS, and exit process.
  • Coordinate staffing requirements for academic faculty, support staff, and administration teams.
  • Implement HR policies consistently across all campuses and head office.
  • Handle employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Manage payroll, attendance, HRMIS updates, and statutory documentation.
  • Develop training & development initiatives for staff and faculty.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and organizational SOPs.

Administration

  • Oversee administration: facilities, security, hostel, housekeeping, and transport.
  • Coordinate infrastructure, maintenance, asset management, and vendor relations.
  • Implement safety, fire compliance, and emergency protocols across campuses.
  • Support administration of academic events, annual functions, and student activities.
  • Prepare and present administrative MIS reports to senior leadership.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labour regulations, and administration.
  • Good leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced academic environment.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.

Work Experience

  • 4 10 years of experience in HR & Administration roles.
  • Experience in the education sector

    (college/institution/university) is preferred not mandatory.
