Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management

Oversee daily cleaning operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Ensure rooms meet brand standards and are ready for guest arrivals
Manage room status communication with front desk
Conduct quality inspections and address deficiencies

Team Leadership

Supervise housekeeping supervisors, room attendants, and public area cleaners
Create staff schedules and manage labor costs
Train team on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service
Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions

Inventory & Budget

Control linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenity inventory
Manage departmental budget and reduce waste
Order supplies and negotiate with vendors
Track and control costs per occupied room

Guest Services

Handle guest requests for additional amenities or special cleaning
Respond to cleanliness complaints and resolve issues promptly
Coordinate VIP room preparations and special requirements

Health & Safety

Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards
Implement safety procedures for chemical handling and equipment use
Maintain lost and found procedures
Monitor infection control protocols

Coordination

Work with maintenance on room repairs and deep cleaning projects
Collaborate with front office on room availability and guest needs
Support laundry operations management's
