Job Description

Position Overview

We are looking for a Housekeeping Executive with strong prior experience in the food manufacturing or hotel industry to maintain floor cleanliness, machine-area hygiene (non-food contact), and scrap/waste area upkeep across our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shopfloor & Facility Housekeeping

  • Supervise and monitor daily housekeeping activities across shopfloors, machine surroundings, external areas, toilets, canteen, and change rooms.
  • Ensure floor cleaning through dry and wet mopping, machine scrubbing, and periodic deep cleaning of corners, walls, and drains.
  • Maintain spillage control — prompt cleaning of water, mix, or oil to prevent accidents or hygiene issues.
  • Oversee scrap and waste area hygiene — ensure proper segregation (plastic, metal, paper, organic) and timely disposal.
  • Support 5S and visual cleanliness standards across the plant.

2. Manpower & Vendor Management

  • Supervise housekeeping manpower (in-house or contractual) — allocate duties, manage shifts, and track attendance.
  • Train staff on industrial housekeeping standards, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendor supervisors for workforce deployment, equipment upkeep, and performance reviews.
  • Verify monthly vendor bills, consumable usage, and ensure cost-efficient operations.

3. Material, Equipment & Safety Management

  • Ensure availability and safe usage of cleaning tools, machines (scrubbers, vacuums, jet cleaners).
  • Maintain and monitor chemical inventory, ensuring correct dilution ratios and adherence to Material Safety Data.
  • Conduct regular inspections of cleaning equipment for preventive maintenance.
  • Ensure safety signage, barricading, and wet floor indications are properly placed during cleaning.

4. Reporting & Audit Readiness

  • Maintain daily checklists, inspection reports, and housekeeping schedules for all areas.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly housekeeping performance reports with visual evidence (photos, logs).
  • Support during internal audits and factory inspections, especially related to facility hygiene and 5S.
  • Coordinate with Admin, HR, and Maintenance for corrective actions and improvement drives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in housekeeping or hygiene maintenance within the food manufacturing or hotel industry (mandatory).
  • Familiar with:
  • Industrial hygiene standards (FSSAI, ISO 22000, GMP).
  • Floor and drain cleaning SOPs for food plants.
  • Scrap and waste segregation systems.
  • Industrial housekeeping equipment – auto scrubbers, single-disc machines, vacuum cleaners, etc.
  • Chemical handling procedures and dilution norms.
  • 5S / Kaizen workplace organization methods.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Word for maintaining records and reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
