Housekeeping Associate – Job Description Position Summary

The Housekeeping Associate ensures all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, hygienic, well-maintained, and presented according to hotel standards. The role directly supports guest satisfaction and overall hotel experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms as per hotel standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities.
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, replace towels, and restock supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items immediately to the supervisor.
• Ensure trolley, cleaning equipment, and chemicals are properly stocked and maintained.
• Follow proper usage of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Clean public areas such as corridors, elevators, lobbies, and service areas as assigned.
• Complete assigned daily room checklists and submit to supervisors.
• Assist guests politely and address their requests promptly.
• Follow hotel policies on lost and found items.
• Support deep cleaning schedules when required.
• Maintain personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards.

Skills and Requirements

• Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods.
• Good communication and guest service attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and responsibility toward assigned tasks.
• Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
