Housekeeping Assistant

The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas in accordance with the hotel's standards. Your role plays a key part in ensuring a pleasant and comfortable experience for all guests. You will clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas as assigned. This includes changing linens, making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and sanitizing bathrooms. Additionally, you will replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items. It is essential to report any maintenance issues, room damage, or lost & found items to the supervisor and follow proper cleaning procedures and hotel safety guidelines at all times. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you are expected to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and efficiently. You may also be required to assist with deep cleaning tasks and seasonal projects when needed. Maintaining cleaning carts, equipment, and storage areas in a tidy and safe condition is part of your responsibilities. Greeting guests politely, responding to basic service requests, and following departmental checklists accurately are also key aspects of your role. The ideal candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with housekeeping experience preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and guest service etiquette is valuable. Physical fitness is required as you will be standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout your shift. Attention to detail, commitment to cleanliness, and basic English proficiency for communication and reporting are essential qualities. Being honest, punctual, and a team player are also important attributes. This is a full-time job with food provided as a benefit. The work schedule includes day shifts, morning shifts, night shifts, and rotational shifts. Proficiency in English is preferred, and the work location is in person.
