Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant Department: Housekeeping Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper Job Summary: The Housekeeping Assistant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas in line with hotel/resort/company standards. The role contributes to delivering a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. Key Responsibilities: Clean, tidy, and service guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas according to established standards. Replenish guest supplies (toiletries, linens, amenities, etc.) as required. Ensure proper use and care of housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damages to the supervisor. Handle guest requests courteously and promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction. Maintain proper inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities in assigned areas. Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times. Assist in laundry operations when required. Support the housekeeping team in achieving daily operational goals. Uphold confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times. Skills & Competencies: Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of housekeeping equipment. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively. Physically fit and able to handle repetitive tasks. Professional attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction. Qualifications & Experience: High school education or equivalent preferred. Prior housekeeping experience in a hotel/resort/hospitality environment is an advantage but not mandatory (training provided). Knowledge of basic health and safety standards desirable.
