Job Description

A hostess primarily greets guests, manages reservations and waitlists, provides accurate wait time estimates, and escorts patrons to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. They maintain a clean and organized front-of-house, handle phone calls, answer guest inquiries, and coordinate with service staff to ensure excellent customer service and a positive atmosphere within a restaurant or hotel. Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Guest Reception:Greet customers as they enter, welcome them, and provide a positive first impression.
  • Reservation & Waitlist Management:Take reservations, manage waitlists, and provide guests with accurate wait time estimates.
  • Seating Management:Escort guests to their tables, manage table assignments, and ensure even distribution of guests among waitstaff stations.
  • Front-of-House Operations:Keep the dining area, waiting area, and host stand clean and organized.
  • Communication:Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries about the restaurant or hotel.
  • Staff Coordination:Collaborate with kitchen and serving staff, relaying guest preferences or special requests.
  • Customer Service:Assist with guest needs, resolve issues, and contribute to a positive dining experience.
  • Information Provision:Provide information about the establishment's menu, specials, and facilities to guests.
  • Opening/Closing Tasks:Assist with opening and closing duties for the front-of-house area.

  • Knowledge of Menus: Familiarity with the food and beverage menu to answer questions and make recommendations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
