Hostel Warden

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management of the hostel, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment for students
• Ensure strict adherence to hostel rules, discipline, and security protocols
• Supervise housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance of hostel facilities
• Provide continuous care, guidance, and support to students, addressing their academic, emotional, and social needs
• Act as the primary point of contact between students, parents, and school management regarding residential matters
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, health updates, leave requests, and daily reports
• Coordinate with medical staff, security personnel, and other departments for smooth hostel functioning
• Organize and support co-curricular activities within the hostel
• Handle emergencies efficiently and responsibly

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in any discipline; qualifications in counseling, psychology, or social work are an advantage
• Mandatory experience working in an International School residential setup
• Ability to manage adolescent students with empathy, patience, and firmness
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills
