Role & responsibilities

1. Administration & Supervision

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hostel.
  
• Maintain records of hostel residents, including admission, attendance, and leave.
  
• Allocate rooms and ensure fair accommodation arrangements.
  
• Supervise housekeeping, cleanliness, and maintenance of hostel premises.
  
• Coordinate with management for repairs, safety checks, and other requirements.
  

2. Student Welfare & Discipline

• Ensure residents follow hostel rules and regulations.
  
• Maintain discipline and resolve conflicts among students.
  
• Act as a mentor and provide guidance to hostel residents.
  
• Monitor student behavior to ensure a safe and inclusive environment.
  
• Counsel students in case of personal or academic challenges.
  

3. Safety & Security

• Ensure the safety of all residents within hostel premises.
  
• Monitor entry and exit of residents and visitors.
  
• Report and address security concerns immediately.
  
• Ensure fire safety, first-aid, and emergency protocols are in place.
  

4. Health & Wellbeing

• Attend to medical needs of residents and arrange medical help if required.
  
• Keep track of students health issues and dietary requirements.
  
• Maintain a healthy and hygienic living environment.
  

5. Coordination & Communication

• Act as a link between hostel residents and the institutions administration.
  
• Communicate hostel-related notices, rules, and updates to residents.
  
• Organize hostel activities, events, and community-building programs.
  
• Coordinate with parents/guardians when necessary.
  

6. Financial & Record Management

• Collect hostel fees and maintain related records.
  
• Monitor hostel expenses and report to the administration.
  
• Maintain inventory of hostel property, furniture, and equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in English Communication

  Strong verbal and written skills required

• Age Criteria

  – Candidates must be between

  39 to 52 years
