Job Description

We CGS Hospital (Veterinary Care) are seeking dedicated and skilled Pharmacists to join our veterinary hospital team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pharmacy practice with a strong passion for animal care. The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising veterinary staff and pet owners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, who is committed to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced veterinary environment. Key Responsibilities : Medication Management : Dispense prescription medications for animals, ensuring accurate dosage and form. Review and verify prescription orders for appropriateness, dosage, and drug interactions. Maintain a well-organized and accurate inventory of pharmaceuticals. Prepare compounded medications as required for specific patient needs. Consultation & Guidance : Provide guidance to veterinarians on drug therapies, side effects, and potential interactions. Offer advice and education to pet owners about proper medication administration, potential side effects, and treatment protocols. Educate pet owners on the importance of adherence to prescribed treatments and follow-up care. Compliance & Documentation : Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to the dispensing and storage of medications. Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed, including controlled substances, in accordance with regulatory requirements. Work with the management team to ensure the hospital’s pharmacy practices align with safety and legal standards. Inventory Control : Monitor stock levels, order medications, and manage the proper storage of all pharmaceuticals. Perform regular inventory audits and track medication expiration dates to prevent wastage. Collaboration & Teamwork : Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and other team members to ensure the best care for animals. Participate in team meetings to discuss complex pharmaceutical issues and treatment plans. Qualifications : Education : B-Pharma degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. License & Certification : Active and valid pharmacist license in Haryana State Experience : At least 4 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably with some experience in a veterinary or animal care-related environment.
