Job Description

The JD is as under –


Overseeing math department for Vijayawada and BLR ( remotely and travel once in a quarter to blr)

The curriculum experience required is in CBSE and Cambridge.

All Math teachers would report to the position holder.

Responsible for setting lesson and yearly plan and track all the teachers progress under them.

Will have a teaching workload of max 8 per week .

KRA:  

As Curriculum Head – CIA  

Course Designing & Planning: Expected to develop a scalable & complete curriculum model for Mathematics and deliver to CIA group of schools an innovative curriculum keeping abreast of times.  ● Develop schemes of work, work sheets & processes of curriculum delivery including relevant activities.  

● Develop planner for the year.  

● Planning monthly events & Activities for teachers.  

● Develop student and teacher reflation capture mechanisms.  

● Develop student assessment related processes & records.  

● Planning Teacher’s Training  

● A successful curriculum is never a one-time project. Regularly revisiting and evaluating the  curriculum. 


Implementation:  

● Organizing the material of your curriculum into topic schemes and align them with  standards. Determine which topics and subject areas will be covered in the curriculum,  which quality materials and resources will support teaching and learning of the topics, and  how these topics can be linked to other content areas for cross-curricular experiences.  

● Integrating specific learning materials throughout the curriculum and providing suitable  scaffolding to ensure students can transfer efficiently from one lesson or unit to the next  without learning gaps.  

● Implementation of Innovative ideas in curriculum.  

● Conducting Teacher’s Training 

● Taking PD sessions (Digital/ physical mode).  

● Responding to queries in a timely manner and ensure that end user issues are resolved in  time and efficiently.  


Assessment and Review:  

● Assessing how existing learning experiences, materials or instructional strategies are performing while making way for the inclusion of new learning activities and changing  context.  

● Assessing the Curriculum is properly implemented and comprehended by the Teachers.

 ● Visit campuses frequently to observe, guide & audit, monitoring student assessment related  processes & records.  

● Continual evaluations, so the program can continue to be revised and updated as needed.

 ● Review time to time to understand current challenge’s team is facing and devise solutions to  those & guide team.  

● Analyse & track student progress in subject of responsibility.  


As HOD – Math (VZA)  

● Work collaboratively with members of the department and positively contribute to  departmental tasks, such as policies, common assessments, instructional practices, grading  practice etc. 

● Embrace the department focus on student-centred learning, critical thinking, and creativity.

 ● Encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their  progress against targets.  

● Encourage and foster intellectual curiosity.  

● Take into account the differing ability levels of students and differentiate work accordingly.

 ● Set appropriate tasks and challenges according to the published academic timetable and  ensure that work is regularly evaluated with constructive feedback.  

● Maintain accurate records of student progress in line with departmental and school policy.

 ● Contribute to all CBSE Core requirements.
