Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Department (Mathematics) to lead the Mathematics department. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, proven leadership skills, and a passion for fostering academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Mathematics department, ensuring effective teaching practices and high academic standards.
• Develop, review, and update curriculum plans in alignment with school goals and examination requirements.
• Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to Mathematics faculty members.
• Monitor teaching methodologies, ensuring innovative and student-centered approaches.
• Assess students’ performance and implement strategies to improve learning outcomes.
• Organize departmental meetings, workshops, and teacher training programs.
• Collaborate with school leadership to design academic plans and support student achievements.
• Ensure effective use of teaching resources and maintain discipline in the classroom.
• Prepare departmental reports and contribute to school policies and planning.

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree (M.Sc in Mathematics) with B.Ed is mandatory.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching/academic leadership.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate staff and students towards excellence.
• Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and assessment practices.
