Description
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented History & Digital Media Intern to support content development for a history-focused digital platform exploring India's forgotten empires, historical travel, and cultural narratives. You will assist in crafting historically grounded, engaging content for Instagram and other social platforms, contribute to research-based storytelling, and participate in developing a digital presence that blends fact, fiction, and travel. Responsibilities Conduct research on Indian historical topics (e.g., empires, inscriptions, forts, figures) Assist in writing captions, scripts, and blog-style summaries for content Help curate and organize visual material (photos, archival images, illustrations) Support short-form video ideation (e.g., reels, voiceovers, or post formats) Contribute to planning content calendars and engagement strategy Assist with basic editing (text, video, or image—depending on skillset) Track engagement metrics and suggest creative improvements Requirements A background in History, Literature, Cultural Studies, Journalism, or related fields (students welcome) Excellent written communication and storytelling skills Strong research skills, especially in historical topics Familiarity with Instagram, reels, and storytelling formats Passion for Indian history, heritage, and culture Basic design or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, InShot, Premiere, etc.) What you will gain Real-world experience blending historical research with digital storytelling Mentorship in historical narrative construction and content design Exposure to how history can be communicated to wide digital audiences Portfolio content across formats (reels, carousels, scripts, story posts) Certificate and Letter of Recommendation upon successful completion This is paid internship Show more Show less
