Job Description

The Key Account Manager Service is responsible for managing and developing long-term relationships with key clients in the battery industry, specifically focused on service, maintenance, and after-sales support. This role ensures client satisfaction, retention, and maximizes service revenue by delivering tailored solutions and coordinating internal resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management:

    • Manage and grow relationships with strategic/key service clients across industrial, energy storage, or mobility battery segments.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for service-related inquiries, escalations, and performance reviews.
    • Develop deep knowledge of client operations, service requirements, and future needs.
  • Service Sales & Business Development:

    • Promote and sell service packages (e.g., maintenance contracts, monitoring services, diagnostics, refurbishment).
    • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
    • Work with technical teams to prepare customized service proposals and cost estimates.
  • Customer Satisfaction & Retention:

    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering excellent post-sale support.
    • Monitor service performance and proactively resolve issues to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
    • Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to ensure service quality and alignment with KPIs.
  • Collaboration & Coordination:

    • Coordinate with service engineers, logistics, and technical teams to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
    • Interface with production and R&D for feedback on product improvements based on service data.
  • Reporting & Forecasting:

    • Track key account performance, service contract renewals, and revenue targets.
    • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on account activity and pipeline.
    • Use CRM tools to manage all client interactions and data.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in key account management or service sales, preferably in the battery, energy, or industrial equipment sector.
  • Strong technical understanding of battery systems (Li-ion, lead-acid, energy storage, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage large B2B clients and deliver results in a service-focused role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
  • Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
