Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Automation Development

• Design, build, and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI actions, and integrations to support ITSM processes.
• Collaborate with process owners to automate routine tasks within incident, request, change, and asset management.
• Support the development of ServiceNow catalog items and automation scripts to streamline fulfillment and provisioning.

Cross-Platform Automation Engineering

• Develop and support automation solutions across additional platforms and tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Azure Logic Apps, GitHub Actions, Orchestrator tools).
• Integrate systems and data sources across IT infrastructure, including identity platforms, endpoint management, and cloud services.
• Evaluate and recommend tools or frameworks based on project requirements, scalability, and maintainability.

Solution Design & Collaboration

• Translate business and IT operational requirements into scalable, reusable automation solutions.
• Collaborate with architects, system administrators, and business analysts to ensure integrations and automations align with enterprise standards.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing efforts to ensure high-quality, secure code delivery.

Monitoring & Support

• Monitor the performance and availability of automation workflows and integrations, resolving issues as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting platform and script issues related to automation performance or data accuracy.
• Support operational teams during incident response or outages related to automated processes.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, eliminate redundancy, and enhance service delivery through automation.
• Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates and industry automation trends to inform solution development.
• Contribute to internal automation standards, templates, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
• 35 years of experience in IT automation, scripting, or systems integration roles.
• Strong experience developing within the ServiceNow platform (ITSM module required; ITOM or HRSD a plus).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript (ServiceNow), PowerShell, and Python.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and integration techniques between systems.
• Experience with other automation platforms (e.g., Azure Automation, Logic Apps, GitHub Actions, RPA tools) is a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITSM workflows.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator or Application Developer certification preferred.
