Hiring For Shift Incharge (Tyre industry)-3PL | Oragadam, Chennai

1. Shift Operations Management

• Oversee all warehouse processes:

  GRN, putaway, picking, packing, staging, loading, and dispatch

  .
• Ensure

  FIFO/FEFO

  stock rotation for tyres.
• Manage daily

  inbound & outbound

  operations within SLA.
• Execute production / dispatch plans received from Apollo Tyres or planner.
  

2. Inventory & Stock Accuracy

• Maintain

  100% stock accuracy

  across SKU-wise tyre categories.
• Conduct

  cycle counts

  , weekly & monthly

  physical stock checks

  .
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies (missing, excess, damage).
• Ensure proper stacking of tyres as per Apollo guidelines (no bulging, proper height).
  

3. Documentation & System Handling

• Ensure all transactions are updated in

  WMS / SAP / ERP

  on time.
• Monitor

  GRN, GIN, DC, e-way bills, ASN

  , gate pass, and shipment documents.
• Ensure accuracy in documentation for audits and customer inspections.
  

4. Manpower & Team Management

• Supervise & allocate work to:
• Warehouse executives
• DEOs / Operators
• Pickers / Packers
• Forklift / Reach-truck operators
• Loaders & helpers
• Plan shift roster, attendance, and productivity.
• Conduct shift briefing and daily toolbox talks.
  

5. Safety, Compliance & 5S

• Ensure 100% adherence to

  Safety SOPs

  , especially tyre stacking, MHE movement, and loading safety. Conduct regular safety checks for

  PPE, fire extinguishers, MHE

  , and warehouse cleanliness.
• Implement

  5S

  across the warehouse.
• Report near-miss incidents and take corrective actions.
  

6. Vehicle & Transport Coordination

• Coordinate with transporters for

  vehicle placement

  , loading, sealing & dispatch.
• Monitor

  TAT for unloading/loading

  of tyre trucks.
• Ensure proper vehicle weight, axle load compliance & load planning.
  

7. KPI Tracking & Reporting

Track daily warehouse KPIs:

• Inbound TAT
• Dispatch adherence
• Picking accuracy
• Inventory accuracy
• Space utilization
• Tyre handling damages
• Manpower efficiency
  

Prepare daily MIS & shift reports for the Warehouse Manager / Apollo team.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Good understanding of

  warehouse operations (3PL / tyre warehouse)

• Knowledge of

  FIFO, inventory management, WMS/SAP

• Strong

  team handling & shift leadership

• Basic knowledge of

  Excel

  (pivot, VLOOKUP preferred)
• Knowledge of

  MHE safety

  (forklift, reach truck movement)
• Ability to work under pressure & meet SLAs
• Strong communication & documentation skills
