Job OverviewThe Sales Officer - Retail will support sales efforts in the retail segment by developing relationships with dealers, educating customers, and promoting AAC blocks to ensure high product availability and visibility. The role focuses on achieving retail sales targets through market visits, customer engagement, and regular dealer support.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Retail Relationship Management: Develop and manage relationships with retail dealers and distributors, providing support and ensuring proper product positioning.
  • Product Education: Educate retail partners and end customers on AAC block features, applications, and benefits, acting as a brand ambassador.
  • Sales Promotion: Implement and monitor sales promotions and marketing activities at the retail level to increase product visibility and drive demand.
  • Inventory and Order Management: Track stock levels at retail locations, coordinate with the logistics team for timely deliveries, and assist retailers with order placement.
  • Market Research: Gather market insights on retail trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities, reporting findings to the sales and marketing team.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain daily and weekly reports on sales performance, dealer engagement, and market conditions to track progress against targets.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2+ years in retail sales, preferably in building materials or construction products.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong ability to engage with retail partners and provide responsive customer support.
  • Sales Techniques: Knowledge of retail sales tactics, with proven experience in driving sales through customer relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales software, with basic Excel skills for reporting.

The BDM - Retail is responsible for expanding the retail market presence of AAC blocks, building strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and end-users in designated regions. This role involves creating and implementing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, and ensuring a steady market expansion. The BDM will act as the primary point of contact for retail partners, aiming to meet sales targets and elevate the products market position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Market Development: Identify, evaluate, and develop new retail opportunities by establishing a robust network of distributors, dealers, and end retailers for AAC blocks.
  • Sales Strategy Execution: Design and execute comprehensive sales strategies focused on achieving market penetration and revenue growth within the retail sector.
  • Retail Partnerships: Build and nurture relationships with key retail partners, regularly visiting and providing ongoing support to ensure strong brand positioning and customer loyalty.
  • Product Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and product training sessions for retail partners to enhance their product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Customer Insights & Market Research: Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs, gather insights on competitor activities, and identify trends. Utilize this information to adjust sales tactics and offer tailored solutions to retail clients.
  • Sales Targets and KPI Management: Set, monitor, and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, providing management with accurate forecasts and updates on market conditions.
  • Training & Support: Provide training sessions and product information to retail sales teams, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools necessary to drive sales and meet customer needs.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed sales reports analyzing sales performance, client engagement, and campaign effectiveness. Use this data to recommend adjustments to improve retail sales strategies.
  • Product Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from retail customers on product performance, features, and any issues, sharing insights with the production and quality teams to drive product improvements.
