Helpdesk Technician – Network Support

Position: Helpdesk Technician – Network Support Location : Solan, Himachal Pradesh Salary : 18K to 20K Per Month Experience : 1–3 years in a technical support/helpdesk environment. Qualification : Diploma / Bachelor's (IT/Computer Science) Skills : Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and routing/switching. Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, or similar). Shift : Rotational Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Helpdesk Technician with NMS experience to support our IT infrastructure and monitor network performance. The ideal candidate will respond to user-reported issues, proactively monitor network systems using NMS tools, and escalate incidents as needed to ensure uninterrupted network operations. Roles & Responsibilities: Help Desk Support: Serve as the first point of contact for internal/external users experiencing technical or network-related issues. Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests via the IT ticketing system. Provide support for LAN/WAN connectivity, wireless access, VPN, and VoIP systems. NMS Monitoring: Use NMS tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix) to monitor network performance, availability, and alerts. Acknowledge, investigate, and escalate network alarms and outages as needed. Maintain and update network dashboards and reports. Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Perform basic troubleshooting (e.g., ping, traceroute, port checks). Work with other teams to identify root causes of network-related issues. Documentation & Reporting: Document known issues and solutions in a knowledge base. Assist in maintaining up-to-date network diagrams and documentation.
