Job Description

You will be responsible for screening, referring, and diagnosing internal inquiries and work requests related to the maintenance of personal computers and related systems. Additionally, you may need to prepare help desk incident reports and assist in hardware and software evaluation. Your duties and responsibilities will include providing day-to-day technical support to employees by installing, configuring, and troubleshooting laptops, workstations, and desktop systems. You will work closely with internal IT Operations to maintain network services and infrastructure as needed. You may also participate in the development of information technology projects and general IT training. It is essential that you have a working knowledge of ITIL, including the use of helpdesk service delivery systems like Service Now. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively convey technical solutions to individuals at all levels within the organization. You should be able to work well as part of a small team and the wider global Desktop Support team when required. Your tasks will involve maintaining and repairing computer equipment, installing hardware peripherals, providing hardware and basic software support to end users, and resolving connectivity problems within the hardware and networking environment. You must have strong written and verbal English language skills and be able to demonstrate technical problem-solving abilities. Other responsibilities include installing, testing, and making software available to appropriate users, ensuring proper configuration and regular updates. You will also be tasked with raising Incidents in Service Now, maintaining inventory records, diagnosing hardware failures, repairing and upgrading different types of computers, and liaising with external support companies when necessary. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining computer peripheral equipment such as printers, scanners, projectors, and conference room technology. Providing technical support through remote control and Windows administration tools is also part of your role. It is important to effectively communicate all support aspects to personnel at all levels in a customer-oriented manner through the Service Now Helpdesk.,
