Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst (BA) with 13-20 years of expertise in the US healthcare domain . The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a software developer or QA engineer and a strong technical background in developing or testing healthcare software products. A key requirement for this role is direct experience engaging with senior stakeholders in medical institutions , gathering and analyzing business requirements, conducting gap analysis , and defining product requirements that align with end-user needs while ensuring consistency with the product's overall goals and architecture. Strong communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical teams are critical for success. Required Skills & Qualifications 13+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Software Developer, or QA Engineer in US healthcare software development . Proven experience working with senior stakeholders in medical institutions to elicit and define business requirements. Expertise in payer-provider workflows , claims processing , b illing systems , and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, CMS, ACA). Strong technical proficiency, including knowledge of API integrations, data models, and healthcare data standards (EDI, FHIR, HL7). Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Trello . Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities to improve software products for complex healthcare systems. Hands-on experience in gap analysis and defining product requirements that align with business and regulatory needs. Prior experience developing, testing, or implementing SaaS-based healthcare solutions . Key Responsibilities Domain Expertise Act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in US healthcare software with a deep understanding of: Payer and provider workflows (e.g., enrollment, eligibility, claims processing, billing, provider networks ). Regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS guidelines, Medicare/Medicaid, ACA regulations ). Healthcare data standards , including EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271), FHIR, and HL7 . Requirement Gathering & Analysis Engage senior stakeholders from medical institutions to gather, analyze, and document software product requirements. Conduct gap analysis on existing healthcare products and workflows to identify improvement opportunities. Ensure requirements align with business needs, regulatory compliance, and technical feasibility . Product Development Support Collaborate with software development teams to ensure product features align with business objectives and compliance requirements. Provide technical and domain expertise to guide product design, claims management, provider portals, and member services . Support integration efforts with EHR/EMR systems, payer-provider networks, and external healthcare platforms . Customer / End User Management Engage directly with end users, including healthcare professionals and administrative teams , to understand their needs and challenges. Act as a trusted advisor to ensure that product enhancements improve user experience and increase operational efficiency . Gather user feedback and translate it into actionable requirements for product teams. Conduct training sessions, demonstrations, and onboarding programs to ensure smooth adoption of healthcare software solutions. Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to enhance user satisfaction and engagement. Communication & Collaboration Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams , facilitating seamless communication to drive product success. Lead workshops, discovery sessions, and sprint planning meetings to align stakeholders on product goals. Present updates, solutions, and insights to clients, stakeholders, and senior management. Testing & Quality Assurance Assist QA teams by reviewing test cases against business and regulatory requirements . Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure the product meets business expectations. Leverage prior QA experience to troubleshoot complex issues related to healthcare data workflows and compliance . Documentation & Training Maintain detailed documentation, including business process flows, system requirements, and technical integration points .
