We have an lead ship role As Head Transmission with one of India MNC Commercial Vehicle division based at Pune .

Org

Strategic Leadership:

• Drive the overall transmission system roadmap aligned with vehicle platform requirements and company goals.
• Collaborate with senior management on long-term technology planning and investments related to transmission systems.
• Design & Development:
• Lead design, development, and validation of manual, AMT, and automatic transmissions.
• Ensure integration of powertrain and driveline systems with chassis and vehicle architectures.
• Review and validate design calculations (gear geometry, bearing life, torque transfer, etc.) and 3D/2D models.
• Team Management: o Manage and mentor a team of design, analysis, and testing engineers.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Project Execution: o Manage multiple transmission programs with strict timelines and budget adherence.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders including vehicle engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and testing.
• Validation & Testing: o Oversee bench and vehicle-level validation activities. o Ensure compliance with quality, durability, NVH, and regulatory standards.
• Supplier & Technology Management: o Lead technical discussions with global and domestic suppliers and technology partners.
• Evaluate and adopt emerging transmission technologies and materials. Required Skills & Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of transmission system engineering manual, AMT, CVT, and automatic.

 Strong fundamentals in gear design, NVH, tribology, thermal analysis, and system integration.

• Proficiency in engineering tools: Creo/CATIA, AVL Cruise, Romax, KissSoft, Ansys, etc.
• Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP, APQP, PPAP, and other quality systems.
• Strong leadership, program management, and stakeholder communication skills.
