Role & responsibilities

Planning, Strategy & Financials:

Prepare annual budget for SCM and allocate resources/approvals and capital expenditure proposals by evaluating ROI and payback periods.

Plan and implement opportunities for integration with BCCL in procurement and logistics.

Formulate sourcing & vendor development strategies based on criticality of requirements, cost control norms and quality specifications.

Negotiate contracts and SLAs with external partners and ensure adherence to agreements.

Formulate and execute detailed plans for storage and warehouse management in alignment with the overall Supply Chain strategy of the company.

Ensure optimal resource utilisation & supply chain streamlining by effective planning & coordination between processes such as production planning, sourcing, logistics and manufacturing units.

Stay abreast of market conditions and industry trends to reduce redundancies and boost process efficiencies.

Coordinate effectively with production and liaise with strategic partners and distributors.

Develop and execute medium to long term procurement strategies for key RMs, ensuring sustainable sourcing and long-term supply chain stability.

Work closely with the Development team in price building for NPDs and new vendor identification.

Assess potential risks in the supply chain, including price volatility, vendor reliability, and geopolitical factors, and develop mitigation plans for critical RMs.

Spearhead planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory, transportation, and supply chain processes.

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

Design structural and procedural changes in collaboration with internal stakeholders to improve SCM process efficiency

Undertake improvement initiatives like Kaizen to achieve high benchmarks in effectiveness and utilization
