Job Description

Job Summary

Supply Chain Management Head

Key Responsibilities

Strategic SCM & Planning

Develop SCM strategy aligned with Aerospace & Defence business growth
Drive end-to-end supply chain including procurement inventory logistics customer delivery
Implement MRP, capacity planning, production scheduling & lead time optimization

Supplier Management

Strong vendor development for precision machining.
Conduct audits, ensure supplier QMS compliance (AS9100D, NADCAP, etc.)
Rate contract finalization, price negotiation & supplier performance monitoring

Material & Inventory Control ( Store Mgt)

Control inventory levels, safety stocks & shelf-life material management
Reduce material cost, scrap, and improve supply continuity
Implement lean procurement & JIT principles

Customer & Project Coordination

Handle exports logistics, shipment planning, export documentation & INCOTERMS
Coordinate program schedules with OEMs/Tier-1 customers
Drive OTD (On-Time Delivery), expedite shortages & ensure delivery commitments

Compliance & Digital SCM

Ensure compliance with Defence procurement norms, import regulations & customs
Implement SCM dashboards, ERP (SAP / Oracle / IFS) & supply chain analytics
Maintain traceability requirements for aerospace parts

Skills & Competencies

Deep technical understanding of precision aerospace components
Strong analytical & negotiation skills
Excellent leadership & multi-stakeholder management
Knowledge of certifications: AS9100, NADCAP, PPAP/FAI, DFMEA, APQP
Proven success in reducing cost & improving OTD metrics

Preferred candidate profile

Aerospace & Defence Manufacturing
Precision Machining / Sheet Metal Components
Tier-1 or Tier-2 suppliers to OEMs (HAL, ISRO, DRDO, BEL, etc.)
