Head Supply Chain Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the

  entire supply chain function

  including procurement, inventory management, vendor management, and logistics for

  pharmaceuticals, consumables, medical equipment, and non-medical items.

• Develop and implement procurement policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and cost control measures across hospital units.
  
• Ensure timely procurement of medicines, surgical items, and general supplies while maintaining optimum stock levels.
  
• Negotiate with vendors for pricing, quality assurance, and long-term supply agreements.
  
• Monitor

  ABC/VED analysis

  and ensure efficient inventory control to minimize wastage and expiry.
• Coordinate with pharmacy, biomedical, finance, and operations teams to forecast and plan material requirements.
  
• Ensure compliance with statutory norms for

  drug procurement, storage, and distribution.

• Lead the

  centralized purchase function

  for multiple hospitals under the group.
• Maintain and update the

  vendor database

  , evaluate vendor performance, and ensure quality standards.
• Oversee the

  Hospital Information System (HIS) / ERP

  for inventory tracking and billing accuracy.
• Drive initiatives for

  cost optimization, indigenization, and process automation.

• Prepare periodic MIS reports on purchase, consumption, and stock turnover.
  
• Ensure proper internal controls and audit compliance across the supply chain processes.
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Qualification:

  Graduate / Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management / MBA / B.Pharma / M.Pharma / B.Sc with PG in Materials Management.

• Experience:

  1015 years of experience in

  hospital SCM / materials management

  , including pharma and general purchase.
• Strong knowledge of

  hospital procurement systems, inventory management, and vendor negotiation.

• Experience in

  multi-specialty hospital

  or

  healthcare group

  preferred.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  
• Proficiency in

  ERP / HIS systems

  and MS Office.
