Job Context & Major Challenges

Job Context & Job Challenges:

  • Many of the machinery in the plant is very old and outdated, and hence more prone to safety hazards. The challenge is to make sure that workmen involved with them are aware of the hazards they pose and convincing the dept heads to upgrade/renew the machinery.
  • Old workmen and managers are often resistant to agreeing to accept new safety norms or bringing decisive changes in their way of working. Making them change their old mindset is a challenge.
  • Since most workmen are not very well educated, all safety trainings need to be repeatedly imparted to them to make sure that they remember the safety protocols they need to follow
  • The biggest challenge is to make sure that there are minimal, preferably zero safetyrelated incidents in the plant premises throughout the year, and hence minimal manhour loss.
