Head Purchase

Responsibilities

• The main task is to have the material in place for our manufacturing and assembly activities with the help of a team of purchasers
• The positions main task is to plan and organize the strategic and tactic purchasing for our 2 entities in Pune, India
• The parts included in our products includes electronics, electro mechanics, PCBs, transformers, fabricated parts, and systems
• The supplier base is both domestic and International
• She/he will be responsible for final negotiations and agreements and will work together with the colleagues in the company to get the best quality and pricing globally
• Responsibility for the import procedures is part of the job
• With the responsibility for sourcing, also comes material planning and the capital turnover for materials
• As being a member of the Management Team, the Purchase Head will also take part in decisions regarding the strategic development of the company
• She/He is then responsible for implementing the strategies and achieving the budgets
• ChallengeThe company is working areas where we expect a very good growth, but it is also areas where we have high pressure on the prisingin the market
• As the material is the main part of our product costing the task to find high-quality suppliers with the ability to supply material with less cost is of the highest priority
• Both our products and processes are under continuous development
• Several manufacturingprocesses are under review for taking buy or make a decision
• Day-to-day, the ability to manage both long-term development, and to take action with urgent issues is important

Background

• Your background is most likely from industrial purchase with undisputed experience of sourcingmaterialsto products with hi-quality demands
• You have a good contact network established in the field of electrical equipment
• You have by showing good results and high determination been promoted to a managing position which you have maintained a couple of years
• Possibly in more than one organization
• Now you are ready to meet new challenges in a new organization
• At least 10+ years of proven sourcing and purchase experience within the field of electrical equipment, electrical panels or transformers is required
• Previous management experience is also a requirement
• Excellent English and local language, both verbal and written
