Head Product Stewardship

Key Responsibilities

Product Safety & Risk Assessment:

• Lead the preparation and regular review of SDSs (Safety Data Sheets), product labels, and hazard classification in line with GHS and country-specific regulations.
• Conduct product risk assessments including toxicological, environmental, and handling hazards.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure SNF products comply with applicable national and international regulations (e.g., REACH, BIS, CPCB, OSHA, CLP, DG Shipping, etc.).
• Track regulatory developments affecting SNFs products and proactively guide business teams on compliance actions.

Customer Support & Engagement:

• Act as the product safety contact point for customers, addressing queries related to SDS, safe handling, storage, transport, and disposal.
• Assist customers in interpreting SNF product documentation and implementing risk controls.

Internal Training & Awareness:

• Conduct internal trainings for Sales, Marketing, Technical, and Plant teams on product safety, handling protocols, and stewardship expectations.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure safe product demonstrations and applications.

Life Cycle Management & Sustainability:

• Support carbon footprint, recyclability, and waste minimization efforts related to product usage.
• Participate in Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), product eco-labelling, or green chemistry initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain a central repository of product stewardship documents including SDS, regulatory certificates, declarations.
• Contribute to RC audits, ISO 14001/45001documentation, and sustainability disclosures.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving in customer-facing safety matters
• Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Legal, and EHS
• Proficiency in MS Office, chemical databases, and compliance tracking tools
• Committed to Responsible Care® and ethical product management

Prior Work Exposure

4–7 years in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, EHS, or technical service in the chemical/pharma sector.
