Job Summary: SNF India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly responsible Factory Manager / Compliance Manager to oversee factory compliance, statutory adherence, plant safety and administration , and ensure alignment with all internal governance and external regulatory requirements. This role must ensure safe & sustainable operational practices , particularly in a chemical manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all central, state, and local government regulations applicable to a chemical manufacturing unit. Maintain updated records and documentation in line with Factories Act, Environmental Acts, Pollution Control Board (PCB), and any other statutory laws and regulations . Liaison with state and central Pollution Control Board, Factories department, DIC, Labour department for permissions/ licenses, monthly returns, inspections, and reporting. Oversee and coordinate audits (internal, external, statutory, ISO and customer ) and drive timely closure of non-conformities. Factory Operations & Administration: Support overall plant operations with necessary administrative support functions Coordinate with various internal functions for compliance adherence (EHS, Production, HR, Projects & Maintenance). Maintain records of factory licenses, approvals, and renewals. Environmental, Health & Factory Safety Compliance: Work alongside EHS and ensure all safety and environmental norms are adhered help Implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices as defined by respective functional heads and in compliance with chemical safety regulations. Monitor and support implementation of emergency response systems and hazard control systems. Labour relations Work alongside corporate HR and ensure employees and contract workmen related regulatory compliances and behaviour in the plant area support management and HR in maintaining smooth industrial relationship Documentation & Reporting: Manage and review all compliance documentation including licenses, permits, audits, registers, and reports. Prepare compliance dashboards and submit periodic reports to senior management and government bodies. Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between the company and government departments, auditors, media and external consultants. Build strong working relationships with legal, corporate compliance, and operations teams. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred) or related field. Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in chemical manufacturing industry with proven exposure to regulatory compliance and plant administration . Strong knowledge of Factories Act, Environment Protection Act, Hazardous Waste Rules, Water/Air Acts, etc. Hands-on experience in dealing with PCB, Factory Inspectorate, Legal Metrology, Labour Department and other statutory bodies. Proficiency in documentation, regulatory filing, and compliance tracking systems. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Attributes: Exposure to ISO 14001, OHSAS/ISO 45001 systems. Knowledge of chemical handling, hazardous waste disposal norms.
