Head of wellness department

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Wellness Program Officer to lead mental health and

wellness initiatives that promote emotional well-being, resilience, and community empowerment.

The ideal candidate will bring a decade of experience in program design, advocacy, and

counseling, with a strong background in academic, public health, and social development

settings.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will drive impactful wellness programs, build partnerships

with government and educational institutions, and champion sustainable approaches to mental

health awareness.

Program Leadership

● Design, implement, and oversee large-scale mental health and wellness programs.

● Lead Ethics, Responsibility, and Sustainability (ERS) initiatives in alignment with

institutional and SDG goals.

● Collaborate with NGOs, universities, and government bodies to strengthen community

well-being.

Counseling & Support

● Provide individual and group counseling sessions for students and staff.

● Develop crisis intervention systems and referral networks with local professionals.

● Maintain confidentiality and ethical counseling standards.

Training & Capacity Building

● Conduct workshops on stress management, emotional intelligence, and women

empowerment.

● Develop and evaluate training manuals and educational content for specific groups such

as law enforcement and educators.

● Facilitate “Train the Trainer” sessions to build institutional capacity.

Monitoring & Evaluation

● Collect and analyze data to measure program impact.

● Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.

● Drive evidence-based advocacy for mental health policies and practices.

Qualifications & Experience

● Master’s degree Specialised area in Psychology / PhD in Psychology

● Minimum 10 years of professional experience in public mental health, counseling, and

project management.

● Strong communication skills in English and Tamil.

● Proficient in MS Office and digital collaboration tools.
