Job Description

As the Head of Sales for India & Subcontinent at Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS), you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and fostering collaboration within the sales team. Your responsibilities will include contributing to strategic plans, implementing commercial best practices, and developing customer experience solutions. You will report to the Area Vice President Sales & Customer Service and work closely with the Marine Product Solutions team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the sales team in the Territory with a focus on customer centricity and collaboration. - Drive profitable sales growth for maintenance solutions products/services and across all other solution areas. - Develop Sales Activity Plans and build the sales pipeline to achieve targets. - Ensure effective use of internal systems such as CRM tools in the Territory. - Monitor account performance, customer development, and take corrective actions. - Act as a role model for the sales team by maintaining extensive customer contact and focusing on deal closing. - Optimize customer contracts for maximum return through proactive contract management. - Evaluate sales team members" performance, provide feedback, support, and coaching. - Foster an account team approach between Sales, Technical Sales, Customer Services, and Credit. - Lead meetings to drive a results-oriented sales team, including technical sales and Customer Service functions. - Participate in or lead local marketing events as per agreements with stakeholders. - Provide input on value propositions, commercial models, and customer experience solutions. - Ensure compliance with global sales governance framework, policies, and processes. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree or equivalent marine qualification preferred. - Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the maritime industry. - Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to lead, coach, and motivate sales teams in a matrix organization. - Results-oriented with demonstrated sales achievements. - Commercially minded with experience in negotiating contracts and pricing. - Solution-oriented with a passion for change management and team culture. - Experience with IT, CRM systems, and digital curiosity.
