We are currently hiring for Technical Consultant, a very crucial role and position that will help the organization to take it to the next level.

Role & responsibilities

• QA Strategy & Vision

• Develop and execute the comprehensive, long-term QA strategy and automation roadmap for the entire UPI platform, covering functional, non-functional, and regression testing.
• Define and own all key quality metrics and KPIs, establishing a data-driven approach to measure and improve product quality, test coverage, and team efficiency.

• Automation Framework & Architecture

• Architect, design, and oversee the implementation of a scalable, robust, and reusable test automation framework for API, mobile, and back-end services. o Lead the selection and implementation of best-in-class tools and technologies to support a modern, efficient automation stack.

• Team Leadership & Mentorship
• Lead, build, and mentor a high-performing team of QA engineers, automation specialists (SDETs), and performance testers.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the QA organization.

o Manage resource allocation, performance reviews, and career development for the entire QA team.

• Performance & Non-Functional Testing

o Own the end-to-end strategy for non-functional testing, which is critical for a real-time payments platform.

• Direct the execution of rigorous performance, load, stress, and scalability testing to guarantee the platform can handle peak transaction volumes (TPS) with high availability and low latency. • Continuous Testing & DevOps Integration

o Champion and drive the integration of automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to enable true continuous testing and provide rapid feedback to development teams.

• Work closely with the DevOps and Infrastructure teams to ensure a stable and reliable testing infrastructure and environment.

• Governance & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Establish and govern all QA processes, including test planning, test case design, defect management, and release certification.

o Act as the ultimate gatekeeper for quality, providing final sign-off on releases,Collaborate closely with Development Heads, Product Owners, and the Deputy Program Director to ensure quality is a shared responsibility across the entire program

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience:

• 14-18+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance.

o A minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership capacity, managing and setting the strategic direction for a large QA function.

• Domain Expertise:

o Mandatory experience in the Banking, Financial Services (BFS), or FinTech sector. o Deep domain knowledge of Payments, especially UPI, Cards, or other real-time transaction processing systems, is absolutely essential.

• Technical & Automation Expertise:

• Proven, hands-on experience in architecting and building complex test automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Expert-level proficiency with API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Karate).
• Extensive experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner) and performance analysis.

o Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).

• Familiarity with mobile automation tools (e.g., Appium) is a strong plus.

• Leadership Skills:

• Visionary leadership with a demonstrated ability to inspire a cultural shift towards quality and automation.
• Exceptional strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate the value of quality to business and technical leaders.
