Role Overview

Head of People & Talent

strategic and hands-on leadership role

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution

  • Own and define the

    end-to-end hiring strategy

    aligned with business growth plans
  • Improve

    quality of hires

    , not just hiring velocity
  • Define role clarity, competency frameworks, and hiring standards
  • Lead and mentor the recruiting team to deliver consistent outcomes
  • Introduce structured interviews, evaluation rubrics, and decision frameworks

2. Onboarding, Retention & Employee Experience

  • Design and implement

    effective onboarding programs

    (30/60/90-day plans)
  • Reduce early attrition and improve long-term employee retention
  • Build feedback mechanisms to identify and resolve people issues early
  • Act as a

    trusted point of contact

    for employees across levels

3. Culture, Engagement & Performance

  • Strengthen company culture grounded in ownership, accountability, and learning
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and internal communication
  • Establish performance management frameworks and review cycles
  • Work with leaders to define career paths and growth opportunities

4. Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team on workforce planning
  • Translate business goals into talent and people strategies
  • Advise leaders on team structure, capability gaps, and succession planning
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and sensitive issues

5. HR Governance & Process Excellence

  • Oversee HR policies, compliance, and people processes
  • Improve HR systems, documentation, and data-driven decision making
  • Ensure consistency, fairness, and transparency across HR practices

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the existing HR team (Recruiter, HR Generalist, etc.)
  • Set clear goals, accountability, and development plans for the HR function

What We're Looking For

  • 812+ years of experience in HR / People roles within

    technology or IT services companies

  • Proven experience

    building and scaling teams

  • Strong expertise in

    talent strategy, hiring quality, and retention

  • Ability to balance

    strategic thinking with hands-on execution

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • High level of integrity, empathy, and business acumen
