Head of Derivatives Execution

As the Head of Derivatives Execution at a global bank based in Fort, Mumbai, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Order Management and Execution. Your main duties will include supervising the regulated Execution activity of the Derivatives Clearing and Settlement (DCS) business in partnership with the DCS regional lead. It will be your responsibility to proactively identify and manage risks associated with derivatives execution while ensuring compliance with exchange and regulatory requirements. Aligning the DCS strategy with the bank's overall business objectives and risk appetite will also be crucial. Your role will involve driving Client Engagement and Sales Growth for the core HSBC Institutional and Corporate Client Base, both onshore and FPI. You will oversee the entire Execution process, including client pipeline/onboarding, system implementation, and order types/flows. Building and nurturing strong relationships with Exchanges, Clearing houses, Regulators, and Industry bodies will be essential. It is important to stay updated on evolving regulations and industry best practices. Furthermore, you will play a key role in the development and execution of the bank's capital allocation strategy for derivatives activities. Managing the execution function's budget efficiently and supporting the implementation of the new system execution platform will also fall under your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in derivatives execution, preferably with a proven track record in a leading Broker role. In-depth knowledge of derivatives products, relevant regulations, algorithmic execution, DMA offerings, and execution strategies is required. A strong understanding of risk management principles in derivatives execution and clearing life cycles is essential. Excellent leadership and communication skills will be necessary to motivate and inspire your team of professionals.
