Head of BR Risk Analytics

As the Head of BR Risk Analytics at HSBC, you will lead the Risk Analytics team within the GCOO Business Risk, playing a critical role in providing key services such as risk and control data analytics, reporting, and management insights. Your responsibilities will include enforcing robust risk governance, monitoring risk appetite, conducting quality reviews of control performance, facilitating controls remediation, and raising awareness of risks and risk management. You will establish strategic dialogue with the GCOO EXCO to understand their requirements and provide solutions through risk analytics. Additionally, you will be responsible for global risk data insight activities supporting BRR and providing services bank-wide. Your role will involve leading the transformation of the global BR Risk Analytics team to a value-based, outcome-focused approach and driving cultural change to strengthen integrated risk management across BR. As the site lead for BR in Hyderabad, you will ensure the overall team's well-being and provide on-the-ground leadership when necessary. You will drive the strategy to enable high performance across the BR Risk Analytics team, deliver services in accordance with regulatory and internal governance requirements, and collaborate across GCOO to transform and reduce complexity. Your role will also involve continually reassessing operational risks, developing relevant analytics and management insights strategy, and addressing any areas of concern with line management. In terms of stakeholder management, you will engage with both external and internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that BR Services meet their needs. You will develop strong relationships with various functions and entities within HSBC to deliver the required services effectively and address regulatory findings promptly. Your leadership and teamwork skills will be essential in defining responsibilities for the BR Risk Analytics team, developing team capabilities, and setting core delivery targets. You will oversee a team of approximately 30 FTEs, manage directly 5-6 FTEs, and implement performance management strategies to balance business growth with responsible risk management. Strong expertise in data usage, tools, testing methodology, and risk management is required for this role, along with the ability to drive transformation programs through a global organization. To excel in this role, you should have prior experience working in a global matrixed organization, qualifications in data and risk management, and a deep understanding of the HSBC Group organization. Your track record of developing diverse talent and multi-skilled teams, as well as your ability to build insight capability, will be crucial in delivering results and driving change effectively.
