Head of BR Risk Analytics

As the Head of BR Risk Analytics at HSBC, you will lead the Risk Analytics team within GCOO Business Risk, playing a critical role within the BR Function with direct accountability for key services including GCOO and bank-wide risk and control data analytics, reporting, and management insights. Your responsibilities will include: - Enforcing robust risk governance and ensuring stakeholders have visibility of key risks and remediation activities. - Partnering and advising on setting, communicating, and monitoring risk appetite in line with business requirements. - Conducting high-quality reviews of control performance and facilitating controls remediation. - Raising awareness and understanding of risks, controls, and risk management. - Continuously improving risk control and monitoring, including behaviors. - Embedding the Bank's Risk Management Framework. - Transforming tools and processes in line with DBS business requirements. You will establish strategic dialogue with GCOO EXCO to understand their requirements and provide solutions through the risk analytics function. Additionally, you will be responsible for global risk data insight activities supporting BRR and services bank-wide including IWPB, People, and GCCOO. Your role will involve leading the strategic transformation of the global BR Risk Analytics team to a value-based, outcome-focused way of working, driving cultural change to ensure strong integrated risk management across BR. You will also lead automation and tooling for risk analytics and the AI approach for BR, collaborating with GB/GI BRR/CCO functions to lead the wider BRR bank-wide strategy on AI. In terms of governance and committee memberships, you will be part of Local Governance Committees as the Local Entity lead for GCOO and other teams in India. Your key responsibilities will include: - Driving and owning the strategy to enable high performance across the BR Risk Analytics team. - Delivering end-to-end services in alignment with agreed service catalogue & SLAs. - Continually reassessing operational risks and developing relevant analytics and management insights strategy. - Engaging with stakeholders to ensure their BR Services needs are met. - Defining responsibilities for the BR Risk Analytics team and developing their capabilities. - Implementing Group performance management & reward strategies and balancing growth with responsible risk management. To excel in this role, you should have expertise in data utilization for maximizing MI & Reporting, tools and testing methodology, and developing trusted adviser status with key BRR stakeholders. Leadership in driving change and transformation programs globally and working in a global matrixed organization are essential. A qualification in key data and risk management is highly desirable.
