Head of Application Support

As an Application Support Manager, your role involves reviewing and understanding the Application Support Process and ensuring its successful implementation. You will be required to coordinate with various vendors and partners to maintain nearly 100% uptime. Additionally, you will review and manage SLAs for Support Tickets and govern the Support Delivery process with vendors/partners. Supporting core applications such as the Terminal Operating System and non-core applications is also a key responsibility. Ensuring cyber compliance of all production applications and aligning with BU Cyber Team and Group Cyber Team will be crucial. Coordinating with IT Infrastructure and database associates to ensure system availability is part of your daily tasks. Managing Support Resources across sites and coordinating with local Site IT Heads will also be a part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, scheduling and planning activities with dependencies, preparing high-level reports and documentation, providing UAT support, managing release management, and overseeing Application Life Management are essential duties. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from a premier institute. Possessing a Project Management certification (e.g. PMP) would be advantageous. In terms of experience, you should have 15+ years of experience in Application Support and at least 7+ years of IT leadership experience demonstrating the ability to manage a large-scale IT portfolio. Previous experience in Ports & Logistics IT systems and applications is preferred. Audit exposure or any relevant certification would be considered beneficial. Managing a 24/7 support roster is also a requirement for this position.
