Head Manufacturing Assembly Unit (Lighting Products)

Role Overview: As the Manufacturing Head for the assembly unit of lighting products, your main responsibility is to oversee operations to ensure production efficiency, maintain quality control, and coordinate workers effectively to meet production targets. It is essential for you to possess strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in an assembly environment, and a focus on continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the shop-floor team and effectively manage all production activities. - Plan and supervise daily assembly operations to ensure a smooth workflow and maximum efficiency. - Assign tasks to assembly line workers, monitor their progress, and ensure that production targets are met while maintaining desired quality standards. - Identify any defects or inconsistencies in the products and take necessary corrective actions. - Ensure that all finished products meet the required quality and safety standards. - Conduct site visits and liaise with architects/lighting consultants for onsite assistance as needed. - Collaborate with the warehouse and procurement team to ensure production deadlines are met. - Manage inventory levels effectively to minimize wastage and enhance cost-effectiveness. - Provide assistance in troubleshooting and resolving any production-related issues that may arise. Qualifications & Experience: - Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or a related field. - Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/assembly unit, preferably in the lighting or electrical products industry. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles would be advantageous.
