The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in managing large-scale IT infrastructure operations, supporting omnichannel retail systems, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of enterprise technology platforms, and driving innovation across store and digital footprints.

Purpose of the Role

The Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the enterprise-wide IT infrastructure. This includes data centers, servers, networks, storage, telephony, end-user support, monitoring systems, and infrastructure-related software and services. The role ensures the high availability, integrity, and security of all IT systems and supports long-term strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the IT Head to shape and execute infrastructure strategy across the organization.
• Lead infrastructure projects with a focus on cost efficiency, automation, and improved service quality.
• Drive innovation by leveraging emerging IT trends to support business value creation.
• Develop and enforce IT infrastructure standards, architecture, and governance in alignment with security policies.
• Evaluate and manage technology vendors, ensuring top-tier solutions and partnerships.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture planning, ensuring alignment with business goals and cost-efficiency.
• Provide hands-on leadership for complex infrastructure upgrades, deployments, and issue resolution.
• Design and maintain robust disaster recovery solutions and high-availability systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and modern network technologies (SDN, NFV).
• Proficiency in IT security practices, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and server/network administration.
• Experience in network design, architecture, and troubleshooting complex environments.
• Expertise with diagnostic tools and security systems (firewalls, VPNs, security protocols).
• Effective communicator with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years

  of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
• Bachelors degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Professional certifications preferred:

  Cisco CCNA

  VMware VCP
