Role & responsibilities

Ankur Scientific is a company that is at the forefront of Carbon Sequestration and Renewable Energy. Its various products and solutions handle a variety of biomasses and wastes to generate energy and sequester Carbon.

The company is headquartered at Baroda, Gujarat and has a strength of 200 +.

It exports its indigenously developed technology and has done projects in more than 40 countries.

This position is envisaged as the head of engineering and design for the company. This is a highly strategic position for the company as the projects are getting more complex and execution getting more complicated.

The Engineering Head will be responsible for

1. Setting up robust engineering standards, systems and processes to address the complete

product life cycle requirement.

2. Standardise Products, Ancillaries, civil structures and parts there of for driving

modularisation, reliability on performance and cost optimisation.

3. Digitise the engineering drawing, BOM and specifications process and drive automation

across the engineering value stream.

4. Co ordinate with Sales, Operations, Service, R & D for timely and right first time release of drawings and specifications

5. Build a strong engineering team and manage engineering for new products developed and projects undertaken to meet customer timelines and expectations

• BE, B. Tech, ME, M. Tech Mechanical

Work Experience required :( Please specify in terms of Essential & Desirable)

• 15 - 20 Years

Skills required: (Please specify in terms of Essential & Desirable)

• Understanding of mechanical equipment like blowers, gear boxes, etc.

• Knowledge of design softwares.

• Ability to understand and create P&IDs HMBDs etc.

• Ability to understand some civil drawings.

• Knowledge of good engineering practices

• Knowledge of engineering standards followed in various parts of the world.

• Ability of understand field issues and ensure that future designs are upgraded to ensure that the same failures do not occur again.
