Head - Engineering and Maintenance

The position of "Head of Engineering & Maintenance" at our client, a leading player in the Plastics & Packaging industry, requires an experienced individual to lead the engineering and maintenance teams. Reporting to the India Manufacturing Head, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing process equipment and automation systems to ensure maximum uptime and reliability. Your role will also involve providing expertise in the installation, commissioning, and validation of machines, utilities, and automation systems. As the Head of Engineering & Maintenance, you will manage the installation and commissioning of critical process equipment, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Additionally, you will lead and mentor the engineering, maintenance, and project teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability. It will be your responsibility to manage and ensure the reliability of critical utility systems, including electrical, HVAC, and water systems, while driving the adoption of industry best practices in process automation, control systems, and data analytics to enhance operational efficiency. The successful candidate for this role should possess an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical stream, with an MBA being preferred. You should have a minimum of 15 years of work experience with a strong exposure to working in the plastics and packaging industry.
