Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development

  • Lead and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand the CDMO formulation business across B2B pharmaceutical clients in INDIA.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and healthcare providers seeking contract manufacturing partnerships.
  • Achieve annual sales quota and revenue targets through proactive business development and strategic account management.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads and convert them into profitable long-term partnershipsklaarhq+1

Client Relationship & Partnership Management

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with key decision-makers at pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing structures, and contractual agreements for contract manufacturing projects.
  • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between clients and internal teams (R&D, regulatory, quality, production).

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitor activities.
  • Monitor market dynamics in the pharmaceutical contract manufacturing sector, including pricing strategies, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and build industry networks careers search.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with formulation development, analytical, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to ensure project feasibility and successful execution.
  • Collaborate with the regulatory team to ensure manufactured products comply with CDSCO, USFDA, EMA, and other international regulatory standards.

Revenue Generation & Performance Management

  • Drive sales growth by presenting CDMO services, converting leads, and closing deals that meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Prepare and present insightful business reports, sales forecasts, and performance dashboards to senior management.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including lead generation, conversion rates, sales pipeline value, deal closure rates, and revenue growth.

Regulatory & Quality Compliance

  • Ensure all business development activities align with regulatory compliance requirements and quality standards (cGMP, ICH guidelines)
  • Support regulatory filings by providing CMC documentation and collaborating with regulatory affairs .

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical & Industry Knowledge

  • Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical contract manufacturing operations, processes, and capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of drug formulation development, analytical testing, scale-up, technology transfer, and cGMP manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including CDSCO, ICH guidelines, and global pharmaceutical quality standards
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical product lifecycle from development through commercialization.

Business Development & Sales Skills

  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills with proven ability to influence decision-makers and close complex deals.
  • Strong prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management capabilities.
  • Expertise in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for B2B pharmaceutical services.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities, assess competitive positioning, and develop strategic business plans.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with ability to present confidently to C-suite executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and pitching skills for client meetings, conferences, and business proposals.
