Head Chef (vegetarian)

As a North/South Indian Vegetarian Chef at our cafe, you will play a crucial role in developing and refining dishes in collaboration with the cafe management. Your responsibilities will include: - Participating in menu planning sessions to innovate and enhance the cafe's offerings. - Conducting regular quality checks on ingredients and dishes to maintain high standards. - Ensuring efficient operation of the kitchen during service, focusing on speed and quality. - Organizing and managing the workflow to maximize productivity without compromising food quality. - Training and supervising junior kitchen staff to meet expected standards. - Managing kitchen inventory to ensure sufficient supplies and minimize waste. - Coordinating with suppliers to source the best quality plant-based ingredients at cost-effective prices. - Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, adhering to food hygiene regulations. Qualifications Required: - Culinary diploma or relevant training is a plus. - Previous experience as a chef, preferably in a vegan/vegetarian setting. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Language proficiency in Malayalam, English, Hindi, or Tamil.
