Head cashiers are responsible for balancing tills at the end of each shift, identifying discrepancies, and generating accurate reports.
They make sure all cashiers follow established procedures regarding transactions, returns, and security protocols.
Head cashiers observe their team, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
This includes onboarding new hires, providing ongoing coaching on customer service, cash handling procedures, and store policies.
They report any issues, such as discrepancies, security concerns, or customer complaints, to the store manager.
They may help with inventory management, restocking shelves, or other duties as needed.
