Job Description

A Head Cashier in retail is responsible for overseeing the front-end operations, including supervising cashiers, managing checkout areas, and providing customer service. You will ensure smooth and efficient transactions, handle customer issues, and train and mentor cashiers. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing and training cashiers to ensure they follow procedures and provide excellent customer service. You will manage the checkout area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficient service. Handling customer complaints, questions, and needs, escalating issues when necessary will also be a part of your role. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate cash handling procedures, balancing tills, and generating reports. It is important to maintain knowledge of store inventory and product placement to assist customers. Assigning tasks, scheduling shifts, and providing support to the cashier team will be crucial for effective team management. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with cash registers and other equipment will also fall under your responsibilities. You may need to assist in other front-end tasks as needed, such as bagging items or opening/closing the store. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work location is in person.,
