Job Description

  • Experience :

    The Head of Admissions is a senior leadership role responsible for the entire student recruitment and enrollment process. He is required to have a minimum of

    15 years of experience

    in educational admissions or enrollment management. The position requires a blend of strategic, managerial and interpersonal skills to meet enrollment targets while ensuring a positive experience for prospective students. He shall lead the development and execution of the institution's enrollment strategy, overseeing all operations from initial inquiry to final enrollment. They serve as a key representative of the institution to prospective students, families, and external partners. Experience in a customer-focused environment and a strong understanding of recruitment principles are vital. Further exposure to / the following is also strongly preferred.
  • Leadership and Management :

    Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
  • Communication :

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
  • Analytical :

    Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Technical Proficiency :

    Knowledge of admissions software and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Slate) is essential.
  • Strategic Thinking :

    Ability to think strategically and creatively to adapt to changing market conditions and meet enrollment goals.
  • Interpersonal Skills :

    Warm, professional and empathetic approach to build strong relationships with prospective families and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning :

    Develop and implement strategic admission plans to achieve specific enrollment targets and align with the institution's overall mission.
  • Team Management and Leadership :

    Oversee the admissions team, including hiring, training and motivating staff and managing day-to-day operations efficiently.
  • Process Oversight :

    Manage all aspects of the application process, ensuring an efficient, fair and compliant experience for applicants.
  • Outreach and Recruitment :

    Plan and participate in recruitment events, such as open houses, fairs and campus tours. Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools, educational consultants, and the wider community.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting :

    Utilize data and CRM systems to track admissions trends, analyze conversion rates, produce forecasts, and provide regular reports to the senior management.
  • Marketing & Communication :

    Collaborate closely with the marketing department to develop effective communication materials (brochures, digital campaigns, etc.) and ensure the institution's brand is positively promoted.
  • Compliance and Policy :

    Ensure all admissions activities comply with institutional policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., student visa regulations, data protection laws).
  • Stakeholder Engagement :

    Build strong relationships with various stakeholders, including prospective students, parents, faculty and financial aid departments, to ensure a seamless transition for new students.
  • Budget Management :

    Plan and monitor the annual admissions budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies are employed to meet enrollment goals.
  • Education :

    A Master's degree in a relevant field such as Education, Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications along with proficiency in use of Computers. Incumbents with Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) shall be given special preference for this post.
