Job Description

About the Role:

Hardware Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute hardware test plans and procedures for Kavach devices.
Conduct functional, stress, thermal, EMI/EMC, and environmental tests.
Perform root cause analysis and debug hardware issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, etc.
Collaborate with the hardware design, embedded software, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and test coverage.
Maintain test documentation, including reports, logs, and compliance records.
Ensure devices comply with applicable standards (e.g., BIS, MIL-STD, CE, FCC, etc.).
Support manufacturing and production teams during pilot runs and mass production stages.
Suggest design improvements based on testing insights and product performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering fields.
14 years of experience in hardware testing and validation.
Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit fundamentals.
Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
Familiarity with testing for rugged, secure, or defense-grade devices is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and layout files.
Experience in writing detailed test cases and bug reports.
Familiar with tools like LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python for automated test setups (optional but desirable).
Knowledge of safety and compliance standards relevant to electronic hardware.

Preferred Experience:

Experience testing
secure access devices, smart tokens, or embedded security systems
.
Understanding of
Kavach
protocols, authentication mechanisms, or related hardware/software platforms.
Prior work with defense, aerospace, or mission-critical hardware systems.
