IT Officer Responsibilities

Includes:-

· Instituting protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects

· Providing advice on the most suitable IT choices

· Providing technical support or training for systems and networks

· If Required direct visit to sites and do the role from there.

Job brief:-

We are looking for a skilled IT Officer who will maintain our information technology systems, in-house applications, Mail, Websites and networks. You will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer and telecom systems.

we are looking for a qualified IT Officer to install, maintain and repair computers and networks. You will be the one to ensure that adequate IT infrastructure is in place and is used to its maximum capabilities.

As a IT Officer you must be well-versed in computer systems and network functions. The ideal candidate will be able to work diligently and accurately and will possess a great problem-solving ability in order to fix issues and ensure functionality.

The goal is to install and maintain high quality networks and computer systems & Service to end users.

IT Officer Job Duties:-

An IT Officer must be knowledgeable in software, hardware and networks. They must be critical thinkers and problem-solvers with great attention to detail. Since end user support and teamwork are important aspects of the role, excellent communication and people skills are required.

Responsibilities:-

· Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects

· Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices

· Provide technical support or training for systems and networks

· Act as link between end users and higher level support

· Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers

· Maintain and repair technological equipment (e.g. routers) or peripheral devices

· Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components (servers, IPs etc.)

· Manage security options and software in computers and networks to maintain privacy and protection from attacks

· Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated

· Troubleshoot system failures or bugs and provide solutions to restore functionality

· Arrange maintenance sessions to discover and mend inefficiencies

· Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference

· Offer timely technical support and teach users how to utilize computers correctly

· Install and configure software’s and hardware

· Monitor Systems,Websites,SMS and network performance

· Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration

· Performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups &etc)

· Basic knowledge about Photo and video editing tools

· Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules

· Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality

Requirements:-

· Proven experience as IT Officer or similar role

· Experience in network management and help desk support is appreciated

· Solid knowledge of IT systems and applications.

· Experience with LAN/WAN networks.

· Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components

· Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles

· Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configuration

· Ability to troubleshoot and repair issues

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

· Great attention to detail

· Excellent organizational and coordination abilities

· Degree in information technology or computer science is preferred

· Certification (CompTIA Network+, MCTIP,CCNA & etc) is a plus
