Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a Hardware Engineer Embedded Electronics (BCM, Zonal Computers, Edge Nodes, etc.) to join our execution-focused hardware team. In this role, you will drive the design, development, validation, and integration of next-generation Vehicle Electronic Control Units (ECUs). You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and OEM partners to deliver high-quality embedded hardware solutions for the automotive domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define hardware architecture, high-level block diagrams, and I/O configurations for Body Control Modules, Zonal Computers, and High-Performance Computers.
  • Support customer RFIs/RFQs, provide effort estimations, create task plans, and resolve technical queries.
  • Design and implement communication protocols (I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, USB, CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Ethernet; diagnostic protocols such as KWP2000, UDS).
  • Perform component selection, schematic design, and circuit simulation using tools like PSpice or LTspice.
  • Design analog, digital, and power electronics circuits (OpAmps, MOSFETs, motor drivers, LDOs, DC-DC converters, PMICs).
  • Conduct worst-case analysis, design calculations, and hardware/IO testing at component and vehicle levels.
  • Create and execute EMI/EMC test plans (DV/PV), evaluate results, and design EMC filters.
  • Lead field failure analysis and resolution, including DFMEA and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with silicon vendor partners to evaluate and integrate new technologies.
  • Use Altium, Cadence, and Mentor Graphics for schematic design, BOM release, and layout reviews.
  • Work effectively with global OEM teams across regions and time zones.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunications, or related Engineering field.
  • Proven experience in automotive embedded electronics design or hardware/architecture roles.
  • Knowledge of automotive verification & validation standards (e.g., CISPR, IEC).
  • Hands-on experience in designing Automotive ECUs (Body Control Module, Door Control Module, Zonal Computers, etc.).
  • Understanding of automotive functions such as Gateway, OTA, and Digital Key.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with vehicle regulatory norms impacting ECU design.
  • Understanding of board bring-up and low-level software.
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262, ASIL compliance) and cybersecurity regulations.
