Track test status and clearly communicate status and blocking issues to peers, development and management. Maintain your test environment in coordination with other teams and lead System Programmers. This includes keeping software levels current, configuring z/OS and the hardware for test scenarios, and monitoring the health of the systems. Required education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Knowledge of Z Hardware Architecture and general z/OS facilities. Understanding of Basic System Programming concepts. Experience with coding and debugging. Experienced in writing Python and/or REXX code. Familiar with writing and debugging PL/X, Assembler and/or zTT code. ISPF navigation, editor, data set management (allocating, copying, etc) SDSF job management. Ability to monitor the health of a system by interpreting syslog messages, RMF reports, SMF data and other metrics. Ability to recognize abends and dumps. Ability to navigate HMC to IPL/RESET systems and check system status as appropriate. Understanding of corporate tools (Slack, Teams, Outlook etc.) Preferred technical and professional experience Unix/Linux system administration and shell scripting. IPCS and Dump Reading.
