Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and creative Designer – SOLIDWORKS & AutoCAD with a strong background in the retail and furniture segment, specializing in shop fittings, metal wardrobes and wooden furniture design. The ideal candidate should be able to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings and 3D models, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.

You will work closely with the design, production, and project teams to develop innovative retail and furniture solutions that meet client requirements and uphold high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop retail shop fittings, metal wardrobes, modular furniture, and interior fixtures.

• Work with both metal and wooden segments, ensuring designs are optimized for material use and production feasibility.

• Prepare detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOMs).

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production teams to align design intent with manufacturing capabilities.

• Revise and update designs based on client feedback or site modifications.

• Ensure all designs comply with company standards, safety guidelines, and quality specifications.

• Maintain proper documentation and organized CAD file management.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS (3D modeling, assembly, rendering) and AutoCAD (2D drafting).

• Strong understanding of metal fabrication, woodworking, and modular furniture construction.

• Experience in retail shop fittings, display systems, wardrobes, and custom furniture design.

• Ability to interpret design briefs, concept sketches, and convert them into manufacturable drawings.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in the retail display or furniture manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge of sheet metal design, wood joinery, and fixture assembly methods.

• Familiarity with material selection, finishes, and production processes for both metal and wood segments.

• Experience with PDM systems and rendering tools in SOLIDWORKS is an advantage.

• Understanding of ergonomics and space optimization for retail environments.
